Start Here: Real Christian Confidence
If you look strong on the outside but feel like you’re carrying too much on the inside, you’re in the right place. I’m Nicki McCoy — a Licensed Professional Counselor, wife, and mom — and this page is where real christian confidence begins. Not hustle. Not hype. Just truth, healthy boundaries, and faith over fear, one honest step at a time.
You’re in the right place if…
- You’re the strong one everyone leans on — but no one asks how you’re doing.
- You say “yes” when you mean “no,” then quietly resent it.
- Your confidence took a hit from a hard relationship, season, or loss.
- You want to grow in faith without pretending you have it all together.
- You’re tired of advice that’s either fake-positive or soaked in shame.
- You know you were made for more — you just need a place to start.
If you nodded at even one of those, breathe. You’re not behind, and you’re not broken. Real christian confidence isn’t about doing more — it’s about standing on truth instead of fear. Let’s take the first step together.
3 honest first steps toward christian confidence
Christian confidence isn’t built in a weekend retreat or a single good cry. It’s built in small, honest choices — repeated. Here’s where to begin this week.
1. Name the fear out loud. Fear loses power when you stop pretending it isn’t there. Write down the one thing you’re most afraid of right now. Seeing it in daylight shrinks it.
2. Set one boundary you’ve been avoiding. Find the “yes” you keep saying when you mean “no.” Say no once this week — kindly, clearly, and without a paragraph of apology attached.
3. Feed your mind truth, not comparison. Trade ten minutes of scrolling for ten minutes of Scripture, prayer, or anything that reminds you who you actually are. What you feed is what grows.
That’s it. Not ten steps — three honest ones. Take the first today, then let the list below keep you going.

Why listen to Nicki?
Nicki McCoy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC) — with the lived experience of a wife and mom who has done the work herself. She pairs real clinical training with warmth, humor, and unshakable faith. That mix is why women trust her with the hard stuff: christian confidence, boundaries, relationships, and the messy middle of real life.
Questions women ask before they start
What is christian confidence, really?
It’s confidence rooted in who God says you are — not in performance, appearance, or other people’s approval. It’s the quiet strength to tell the truth, set boundaries, and choose faith over fear, even when your feelings vote otherwise.
Who is Nicki McCoy?
Nicki McCoy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She’s a Christian wife and mom who helps women build confidence, set healthy boundaries, and grow in faith and purpose.
Is this the same as therapy or counseling?
No. This platform is education and encouragement — not therapy, diagnosis, medical treatment, or crisis care, and it doesn’t create a counselor-client relationship. If you’re in crisis or need clinical support, please visit our Get Help page or call 988.
How do I start building confidence as a Christian woman?
Start small and start honest. Name one place fear is running the show, take one boundary seriously this week, and feed your mind truth instead of comparison. Then join the list above so the next step lands in your inbox.
Do I have to have it all together to be here?
Definitely not. This is for women who look strong but carry too much. Come as you are — a little tired, a little skeptical, fully welcome.
